3 Days The Last Resort Adventure Package

The Last Resort sits 160m above the Bhotekoshi River, 3.5 hours northeast of Kathmandu on the Arniko Highway. It is Nepal's original extreme sports venue — running the highest bungy jump in the country, a 160m freefall from a suspension bridge over the Bhotekoshi gorge.

The headline activity is the bungy: a 160m freefall using a twin-wire safety system. All participants are weighed and fitted before jumping. The Canyon Swing — a 200m pendulum arc above the gorge — is the alternative for those who want the adrenaline without the vertical freefall. Canyoning sessions run down a side gorge, involving abseils, natural slides, and jumps into deep pools under the guidance of a certified instructor.

The Bhotekoshi gorge itself is spectacular at ground level. The resort's lodge accommodation perches on the cliff edge, with meals served on a terrace above the rapids. Most guests spend the morning at activities and the afternoon watching the river below.

All transfers from Kathmandu are included — a 3.5-hour drive along the Arniko Highway, passing through Dhulikhel and descending into the Bhotekoshi Valley. The return drive on Day 3 brings you back to Kathmandu by early afternoon.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the bungy jump height at The Last Resort?

The jump is 160m above the Bhotekoshi River — the highest bungy jump in Nepal. The freefall lasts approximately 3–4 seconds before the cord engages.

What are the weight and age limits for the bungy?

Participants must weigh between 35 kg and 150 kg. The minimum age is 10 years; those under 18 require written parental consent. Those with heart conditions, high blood pressure, or recent surgery are advised not to jump.

Is the bungy jump safe?

The Last Resort uses a twin-wire safety system and all equipment meets international safety standards. Guides are trained in first aid. The operation has run for many years with a strong safety record.

What is the difference between the Canyon Swing and the bungy?

The bungy is a straight 160m vertical freefall with cord rebound. The Canyon Swing is a 200m pendulum arc — you fall forward and swing out over the gorge rather than falling straight down. Many guests find the swing equally intense.

What should I bring to The Last Resort?

Comfortable sports clothing, closed-toe shoes and a change of clothes. Swimwear is useful for canyoning. A light jacket for evenings at the gorge. Leave valuables at your Kathmandu hotel — lockers are available at the resort.
