Kathmandu Valley holds seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites within a 20 km radius — a concentration unmatched anywhere in South Asia. This 3-day guided tour visits all seven: Patan Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Changunarayan Temple. A private vehicle and licensed guide are included; entrance fees to all monuments are covered.
Day 1 opens at Patan Durbar Square, the royal palace complex of the ancient Malla kingdom. The Krishna Mandir, built in 1637, is the first fully stone temple in the valley. Ten minutes west, Swayambhunath Stupa crowns a hilltop 77m above the valley floor — its painted eyes on the central spire are recognised internationally as the face of Nepal. Boudhanath, the afternoon stop, is the largest stupa in Nepal and one of the largest in Asia.
Day 2 focuses on Pashupatinath Temple — the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal, on the banks of the Bagmati River — and Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the best-preserved medieval town in the valley. Bhaktapur's 55-Window Palace and the Nyatapola Temple at 30m (the tallest pagoda in Nepal) make it the most photogenic stop on the circuit.
Day 3 takes you southwest to Dakshinkali Temple, an active Durga shrine in a wooded gorge, then to Pharping — ancient Buddhist cave monasteries where Guru Rinpoche meditated — and Kirtipur, a hilltop Newar town with sweeping valley views.

The main Pashupatinath temple sanctum is restricted to Hindus. The surrounding complex, ghats, and the opposite bank of the Bagmati River are fully accessible to non-Hindu visitors, offering clear views of all main structures and the cremation ghats.
Three days covers all seven UNESCO sites with an hour or more at each. For a deeper experience — including the Thamel old quarter, local markets, or day-trips to Namobuddha — allow four to five days in the valley.
