Kailash Mansarovar Yatra for Nepali Nationals: The World's Closest Gateway

For Nepalis, Kailash Is the Nearest Sacred Mountain

Nepali citizens hold a unique geographic advantage for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra that no other nationality shares. Nepal shares a direct land border with Tibet at multiple crossing points, with Kerung (Gyirong) being the primary one for Kailash pilgrims. This means Nepali nationals can travel to Mount Kailash in the shortest possible time, by the most direct possible route, with simpler documentation than any other nationality.

The 10-day Kailash Mansarovar Yatra specifically designed for Nepali passport holders is significantly shorter and typically less expensive than the equivalent tours for Indian and foreign passport holders. The tour begins in Kathmandu, reaches Kailash in 3-4 driving days, completes the Kora, and returns - a complete sacred journey from Nepal's capital to Lord Shiva's cosmic home and back within 10 to 12 days.
