Pokhara is consistently ranked among the world's top five commercial tandem paragliding destinations. The reason is the geography: Sarangkot hill at 1,592m provides a high, reliable take-off, the valley generates strong stable thermals through the morning, Phewa Lake below is a wide safe landing zone, and the backdrop is the full Annapurna range including Machhapuchhre. Combine those factors and you get a 20 to 30 minute flight that genuinely delivers what other paragliding destinations promise on paper.
The trip includes hotel pick-up, transport to Sarangkot, a pre-flight briefing, the tandem flight with a certified ACAP-licensed pilot, and return transport from the landing zone at Lakeside. Video and photo packages are available at the landing area for an additional charge. Paragliding is the recreational and competitive adventure sport of flying paragliders: lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. It is considered an extreme sport that is fun and exciting. In our case, it is also a serious and responsible piloting job, of which you are a part. By participating in a Tandem Paragliding flight you become a major part of the flight crew. The quality of our start and landing will greatly depend on you. As such, it is strongly required that you follow all pilot instructions.
Wear footwear that provides as much ankle support as possible; sturdy boots are best. You may bring a small camera on the flight, but secure the camera to you with a strap (We have learned that if you drop a camera from several hundred feet you will not recover it in one piece!).
All of our holidays are completely tailor-made and prices will vary based on things like when in the year you will be travelling (High season, Low season), how far in advance you book, the number of people travelling in your group, the level of accommodation you choose etc. Please click on the next tab (INQUIRY/ BOOKING) and send us your inquiry. We will reply you with cost and other necessary details within 24 hours.
