The Kathmandu Valley's 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the lakeside city of Pokhara, Chitwan National Park's wildlife (rhino, tiger, elephant) and the hill stations of Nagarkot and Bandipur create a travel destination of extraordinary variety within a 5 to 12 day itinerary. Hindi is widely understood in major tourist areas. Indian Rupees are accepted in some places but Nepalese Rupees are preferred.
