We recently had the pleasure of organizing a 7-day private Nepal holiday for a wonderful father and son duo from Germany and what an incredible journey it turned out to be!
Their adventure began with a warm welcome in Kathmandu, exploring the city’s ancient temples and vibrant culture. The next morning brought pure magic — a helicopter flight to Everest Base Camp, followed by breakfast with panoramic views of the Himalayas. From there, they wandered through the timeless streets of Bhaktapur, and later continued to Bandipur, a peaceful hilltop town known for its preserved Newari charm.
The trip continued to the wild heart of Chitwan National Park, where they experienced thrilling jungle safaris, close encounters with wildlife, and an unforgettable night in a treehouse lodge — their favorite part of the trip! The journey ended with a peaceful monastery stay in Pharping, offering a unique glimpse into Buddhist life and meditation.
After returning home, they shared these wonderful words:
We’re truly grateful for this feedback and delighted to have been part of such a meaningful adventure. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do — crafting journeys filled with discovery, culture, and connection.
Thank you to our guests from Germany for trusting Getaway Nepal Adventure! Until next time — Nepal will always be ready to welcome you back.

We visit Durbar Square, the epicenter of Kathmandu’s religious and cultural life. Some of the sights include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar, which is home to the Living Goddess.
We’ll also visit Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, and located alongside the holy Bagmati River. Boudhanath is also on the tour. This is a Buddhist stupa, known to be one of the largest in the world.
Day 2: Visit Bhaktapur
Start your adventure with an early morning drive to the airport for a once-in-a-lifetime helicopter tour to Everest Base Camp. Soar above the majestic Himalayas, witnessing breathtaking views of Mount Everest and its neighboring peaks before landing at the iconic Everest View Hotel for a scenic breakfast like no other. After this unforgettable aerial experience, return to Kathmandu and head to Bhaktapur, a UNESCO World Heritage city. Stroll through its ancient squares, marvel at intricate temples, and immerse yourself in the timeless charm of Nepal’s cultural heart. An epic blend of nature, adventure, and heritage—all in one day.
Day 03: Travel to Bandipur Hill Station
Breakfast and we travel to Bandipur by road. This village is like an open-air museum with beautifully preserved buildings reflecting the local Newari culture. Bandipur, a beautiful village in Newari style, where time seems to standstill. Here you won’t find mass tourism and you won’t be attacked by aggressive sellers. The 18th-century buildings are well preserved and because motorized vehicles are not allowed in the village, it is nice and quiet.
Day 04: Drive to Chitwan National Park
From Pokhara you’ll head to Chitwan National Park, one of the most famous wildlife-viewing parks in Asia and listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO. You’ll have an excellent chance of spotting 1-horned rhinos, deer, monkeys, leopards, wild elephants, royal Bengal tigers, and as many as 450 species of birds.
Day 05: Chitwan National Park Tour
Our exploration of the wilderness will feature a jeep safari and an easy jungle walk which are the best ways to experience the beauty of Chitwan National Park. It is the first national park in Nepal and one of the most popular tourist destinations. It was established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. It covers an area of 952.63 km2 and is located in the subtropical Inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal. The national park is home to the famous one-horned rhinoceros, the Royal Bengal tiger, deers, leopards, wild elephants, sloth bears, monkeys and more than 500 species of birds.
Day 06: Monastery Stay Experience
Breakfast and we drive back to Kathmandu go to Neydo Tashi Choeling Monastery. It is a beautiful Buddhist Monastery on the top of the hill in Pharping village. Staying at a monastery is an opportunity for visitors to experience a day of life in the monastery so that they can understand better and appreciate how the Kagyu and Nyingma Traditions of Tibetan Buddhism are lived.
Early evening join for the interaction session with the monk, learn about Buddhism, monastery life, meditation, and more.
